Someone on ebay is listing very hard to find pre mattel Addy items. It looks like she's unloading her whole collection! I didn't even know some of this stuff existed!

I didn't know the gourd was real. Ah the good ole days when things were made the way they should have been!
Hear, hear! ...Although maybe its hard to find that many real gourds? Backa long tiem ago when the dolls were not quite as popularas they are now, they didn't need as many real products, Nowadays it would be hard to find enough real things, I would think. Remember they used to have real coins for Sam and Molly? I think maybe at first they were even for the actual year from the books...eventually they gave any year, like Sam had some from the 1890's, and in a short while they changed to reproduction coins...
I'm guessing its hard to find enough real things?
Although I must say real is better, I can't stand paying so much for plastic!! My only exception is fur items, those can and should be fake in my opinion.

They wouldn't buy AG products containing real fur or leather and had to call customer service to verify no animal products were used in items before ordering.My only exception is fur items, those can and should be fake in my opinion.
Of the things I own, only Penny's saddle and the earth day birkenstocks are real leather but I have a very small collection of mostly newer items. I know there was alot of real fur and leather in the older items.
